My father, Henry Schiffer, drew on his  years of construction experience rooted in old-world knowledge from the Netherlands to pioneer the invention of URO-TILE® in 1981. In 1979, after a disappointing and frustrating experience installing Mexican tile in his Florida home, he set out to devise a method to manufacture tile directly on the floor. Experimenting with various resin formulas and cement mixtures, he perfected his patent for URO-TILE®: a modified cement-resin mixture that is hand-troweled onto a floor or wall to create virtually any surface desired. I worked with my father since inception of URO-TILE® in 1981. After many years of assisting distributors, selling patent licenses and involvement in training. I later went onto designing/contracting. From my father I learned about formulas and preperation procedures, delivering URO-TILE® technology and design that will trump that of any competitor. 

Since 1981, URO-TILE® has been the local leader in functional, decorative surfaces that can be used both indoors and outdoors, on floors and walls, and in commercial, residential, and industrial settings.
